Black Milk - Album of the Year

The first question your gonna ask yourself is simple, is this the album of the year? For me, it should definitely be considered. In my honest opinion this is Black Milks best album to date. He stays local to Detroit with the guest appearances like he always has and he has gotten to the point where he is nearly matching his high production level with his Emceeing ability, which is amazing since he has always been one of my favorite producers. This album is about his year after he released his last album and everything that has been happening to him. And once again, the production is amazing on this album, you will literally be dumbfounded by how great it truly is. He focusses a lot on the complex drums in his production, as we see on "Keep Going". "365", the opening track is probably my favorite, it is upbeat and a great way to start the album. He has great punchlines in this and truly defines what a Detroit rapper is, along with Royce Da 5'9" and Elzhi. I will say that I as a bit disappointed with Royce's verse on Deadly Medley, Royce being a favorite of mine I expected him to have the best first but in reality both Elzhi and Black Milk out shined him. And of course Black Milk gave his shout out to Dilla. Detroit does takeover this album, both with style, guests and lyrics. But all in all great album.

Overall: 10/10
Standout Tracks: 365, Deadly Medley, Warning (Keep Bouncing).
